I'm a sophomore at the University of Miami, and a Psychology major. I hope to pursue a second major in English. My current GPA is a 3.631 out of 4.00, and I made the Dean's List in my last semester. When I graduate, I'd like to attend graduate school and pursue a career in Clinical Psychology. In high school I was a member of both the National Honor Society and the Math Honor Society, in which I had, in total, over 100 hours of tutoring experience. I've always loved helping people learn and understand things they couldn't completely understand on their own. I did most of my tutoring in lower level mathematics, as well as helping others work on papers and writing. My approach to tutoring focuses on allowing the student to reach their own potential. Instead of simply doing the work for them as some tutors may to do, I prefer leading them through the steps and through the process of learning based on their individual talents. By doing so, the student not only gets the help they need to learn, they also feel more intelligent, as I merely guided their understanding it themselves. I feel this helps ease the burden of needing a tutor, and helps increase student self-esteem.Fun Facts: Something that people usually identify me with is music. I'm an enormous fan of all kinds of music, and I play several instruments like the guitar, trumpet, and certain kinds of percussion. I also love to sing, and used to be in a band. I'm a younger brother, so I know what it's like to get help from someone older, and I know how to help younger kids. I also love animals!
