Music and teaching are my two life passions. I have been teaching music for over 10 years and playing for over 15. I was born and raised in Southern California and attended Newport Harbor High School. Upon graduating, I attended Berklee College of Music in Boston where I studied Guitar and Music Business. After graduating from Berklee, I received my Early Childhood Teacher Certification and worked as both a preschool and toddler teacher in addition to teaching music lessons. I am experienced with all age levels from the youngest children to the oldest adults. I make learning music a fun and enjoyable experience for everyone! *** Lesson Details *** The ultimate goal of our lessons together is to accomplish YOUR goals. There is a reason why you are drawn to music. Maybe it's songwriting. Maybe you want to become the best guitar player in the world. Maybe you want your child to learn a skill they'll have the rest of their life. Whatever it may be, we'll work together to accomplish it...and have a lot of fun along the way! Because every student is different, there is no one set way to teach a lesson. Each lesson will be geared specifically toward you. If your main goal is to learn songs, we will work on techniques that will build up your skill set to give you the necessary tools to learn songs. Whatever your goal is we'll find a way to get you there. *** Studio Equipment *** 250 Square foot carpeted studio with private entrance and parking lot. Seating available for parents. There are guitars you can borrow/use *** Travel Equipment *** I can provide all equipment if necessary. I would prefer the student have amplification if they plan an electric instrument *** Specialties *** *Teachers classified as a Student Favorite have taught a minimum of 25 lessons and have received the highest feedback rating from students.I specialize in all genre's on the guitar. I studied primarily jazz, fusion, and country while at Berklee but prefer playing and teaching rock and acoustic/folk music. In addition to playing I have also studied both classical and jazz theory at the highest level.

Noodle says

Takelessons started as a platform to for music teachers, and is still strongest on that front. It provides tutors with organizational software designed to help track lessons, and so probably attracts more tech-friendly, highly organized tutors. No vetting or training is provided for tutors, so we highly recommend that you use their ratings and reviews when selecting a tutor.

TakeLessons says

Success in learning often depends on finding the right teacher; someone that not only has expertise in the subject, but also knows how to inspire. The teaching style that works for one student may not work for another. As a parent or student, how do you find the right match? As a teacher, how do you find new students that fit your style? TakeLessons bridges this gap.
