I am originally from Peru. I came 10 years ago to the SW Florida Region. I began playing the guitar at the age of 13 along with other folkloric instruments from Peru. I formed part of my School Marching Band playing the Cornet and then the Clarinet. That gave me a bigger understanding of Music and its different voices. Right after graduating High School I moved to the US to continue with my studies in Music at a professional level. That is when I decided to move to go to Berklee College of Music to Double Major in Music Performance and Contemporary Arranging/Production. After Berklee, I decided to go to Full Sail University. Obtaining an Associate's Degree in Recording Arts, seeking to understand better a musician from a different view. Besides taking classes of Psychology, this major helped me understand better a musician and their needs. I have been teaching guitar for 10 years now, and I love it, because I always learn from my students, ALWAYS. I give classes in Spanish or English and I teach almost any style of music. *** Lesson Details *** I specialize in beginner and intermediate level. I teach from very basic essentials, to pretty advance knowledge/technique. I like to teach music theory and have my students learn how to read music to be musicians with knowledge. The main topics I like to concentrate on are: Chords: Triads & 7th Chords including Tensions Chord Voicing Scales Arpeggios Technique Improvization Tips Music Theory Harmony Ear Training Rhythm comp Sight Reading .. and more I always like to concentrate in just one or two of these topics per lesson, and go in cycles so we have a different class with a new feel every day. Keeping the class fun and exciting. I forgot to mention the fact that I am biligual (Spanish/English). Being in the Miami area I think is essential to speak both languages. *** Studio Equipment *** Music Stand, music paper, Metronome, guitars, amplifiers, ProTools, Microphones, Keyboard, headphones. additional seating for parents. *** Travel Equipment *** my guitar, method books. music paper The student should have his own guitar, a tuner and a metronome *** Specialties *** Berklee college of music Method. Noodle says

Takelessons started as a platform to for music teachers, and is still strongest on that front. It provides tutors with organizational software designed to help track lessons, and so probably attracts more tech-friendly, highly organized tutors. No vetting or training is provided for tutors, so we highly recommend that you use their ratings and reviews when selecting a tutor.

TakeLessons says

Success in learning often depends on finding the right teacher; someone that not only has expertise in the subject, but also knows how to inspire. The teaching style that works for one student may not work for another. As a parent or student, how do you find the right match? As a teacher, how do you find new students that fit your style? TakeLessons bridges this gap.
